'A useful resource for anyone who is involved in supporting women's choices with regards to place of birth. Home Birth includes the latest evidence with regards to safety of homebirth. I particularly liked the stories from women which give the book a real women-centred feel. These anecdotes uncover the power that women who are in control of their births can feel. Wesson tackles the issue that many texts for parents ignore - the 'high-risk' woman who choses to give birth at home.
I recommend this book. Giving an insight into women's stories can also enhance our empathy as midwives, as well as opening up debate in areas that some may find uncomfortable.'
